Who was Agathe de Catane?
A young Sicilian Christian, she refused the magistrate who wanted to take her, and paid for that refusal with her body and her life. Her Passion, written down two centuries later, keeps the memory of a woman who answered without flinching and prayed to the end. Her name entered the prayer of the Church of Rome very early.
