Who was A. W. Tozer?
The son of Pennsylvania farmers, converted as a teenager before a street preacher, he became a self-taught pastor in Chicago. Severe toward comfortable religion, he called tirelessly to seek God for his own sake; The Pursuit of God, written in one sitting on a night train, remains his best-known book.
