Who was Bernard Mizeki?
Born in Mozambique and emigrated to Cape Town, where he was converted and formed, he became an Anglican catechist and left to evangelise Mashonaland, in present-day Zimbabwe. Married, loved by the children he taught, he refused to abandon his post during an uprising and was killed there in 1896.
