Who was Brigitte de Suède?
Mother of eight and lady at the Swedish court, she made the pilgrimage to Compostela with her husband, then, widowed, founded the Order of the Most Holy Savior. Settled in Rome, she challenged popes and princes with rare freedom, while having the Revelations that had seized her written down. Co-patroness of Europe, she shows that a single life can be conjugal, political and mystical.
