Eurosia Fabris
1866-1932 19th century Feast day: January 9
The hidden holiness of a home, woven of work and patience.
Who was Eurosia Fabris?
A seamstress of the Venetian countryside, 'Mamma Rosa' married a widower and raised his two little girls as her own, before bearing nine children and taking in others still. Unschooled, she made her home a school of prayer and work, where three of her sons became priests. A Franciscan tertiary, she held holiness to be the ordinary business of a mother.
In their own words
The children the Lord has given us belong to Him more than to us. If He wants them for Himself, we must be thankful and even glad.
My God, I love You above all things.
Into Your hands, Lord, I commend my soul.
