Frances Xavier Cabrini
1850-1917 19th century Feast day: November 13
Prayer that crosses borders: to stay near the exile and tell him he is not forgotten.
Who was Frances Xavier Cabrini?
An Italian religious of fragile health, she dreamed of the missions of the East; the pope sent her instead to the West, among the Italian emigrants crowded into the cities of America. Crossing the ocean dozens of times, she founded schools, hospitals and orphanages, serving those the new land left by the wayside.
In their own words
I can do all things in him who strengthens me.
Let us pray without ceasing, in every occurrence and employment of our lives.
I feel that the whole world is too small to satisfy my desires.
