Who was Frances Ridley Havergal?
The daughter of an English clergyman, of frail health, she learned Hebrew and Greek to read Scripture in the original and wrote hymns that became classics. Dead at forty-two, she left hymns of consecration in which the whole person (life, hands, voice, money) is handed over to God.
