Who was Miguel Pro?

A Mexican Jesuit in the time of religious persecution, he exercised his ministry underground, using disguises with legendary humor to bring the sacraments to the faithful of Mexico City. Arrested on a false accusation of conspiracy, he was shot without trial on November 23, 1927. The photographs of his execution, circulated to frighten, went around the world as a testimony.
