Who was George Müller?

A dissolute young Prussian who was converted, he settled in Bristol and opened homes that would take in more than ten thousand orphans. On principle he never asked anyone for money: he kept a meticulous journal of his prayers and the answers received, as a patient demonstration that God provides.
