Who was Gianna Beretta Molla?
A pediatrician near Milan, married and a mother, she loved the mountains, music and her profession. Pregnant with her fourth child, she refused the procedure that would have saved her life at the cost of the child's, and died days after the birth. She sought no heroism, only the coherence of an ordinary faith lived in a clinic and a home.
