Who was Gladys Aylward?
A London housemaid turned down by the missionary societies, she paid her own train fare to China and settled in an inn where she told the Gospel to travellers. During the war she led about a hundred orphaned children across the mountains to safety.

I wasn't God's first choice for what I've done for China. There was somebody else. But he wasn't willing. And God looked down, and saw Gladys Aylward.
