Jacinta Marto

A child's prayer for the world, the simple offering of small sorrows.

Who was Jacinta Marto?

The youngest of the three shepherd children of Fátima. After the apparitions of 1917 she multiplied prayers and small sacrifices for sinners and for peace. Taken by the influenza epidemic, she died alone in a Lisbon hospital, at nine years old.

In their own words

If people only knew what eternity is, they would do everything to change their lives.

Words reported by Sister Lúcia, Memoirs

Memoirs of Sister Lúcia
