Who was Martin Buber?
A Jewish philosopher and heir of Hasidism, whose tales he gathered, he thought of relation as the very place of God. In a century of wars and exiles, he recalled that a person becomes fully himself only in saying 'thou' to another, and that there the Eternal may be glimpsed.
