Who was Thérèse d’Avila?
Spanish Carmelite, reformer of the order, founder of 17 monasteries in less than 20 years, traveling rough roads despite fragile health. First woman Doctor of the Church. Author of The Interior Castle, a spiritual treatise structured in seven mansions, describing the inner life as a journey through a castle to the center where God dwells.
In their own words
Let nothing disturb you, let nothing frighten you. All things pass. God does not change. Patience obtains all things. Whoever has God lacks nothing. God alone suffices.
