Who was Charles Spurgeon?
An English Baptist preacher, from the age of twenty he filled the largest halls of London and built the Metropolitan Tabernacle. Prolific, founder of an orphanage and a pastors' college, he lived all his life with frail health and bouts of depression of which he spoke plainly.
