Léonie Martin
1863-1941 20th century
The hope of new beginnings: when nothing works the first time, trust ends up opening a way.
Who was Léonie Martin?
The third daughter of Louis and Zélie Martin, a difficult child of fragile health, long regarded as the least gifted of the family. After three failed attempts at religious life, she was finally received by the Visitation sisters of Caen at thirty-five and became Sister Françoise-Thérèse. The first disciple of her sister Thérèse's little way, she is today a Servant of God.
In their own words
I am filled with good will and boundless trust in Jesus, who never ceases to shower me with so many graces.
We must have faith and trust, do what depends on us, live in peace, and God will unfailingly take care of us.
