Marcel Van
1928-1959 20th century
The little way of love, when life is reduced to almost nothing.
Who was Marcel Van?
A Vietnamese Redemptorist, he found in a book of Thérèse of Lisieux the 'little way' and made it his own road: to love God in the tiniest tasks and ordinary encounters. A lay brother, he kept the record of long inner conversations with Jesus, Mary and Thérèse. Imprisoned by the communist regime, he died in a re-education camp at thirty-one.
In their own words
Love cannot die; it goes on loving without any limitation of time.
